Programming Limited Keyfob Transmitter
 

The first owner ordered me a replacement key (pre-cut) and transmitter from Subaru because he didn't know where the spare set was.

I just received the set from him. Is there a way to program the transmitter by myself? I'd rather not have to go to the Subaru dealer.

If this is possible, I'm thinking I can also program my spare transmitter from my first BRZ to work with my new one as well. Then I'll have 3 transmitters (with only 2 keys, though)!

Did you ever figure this one out or did you go to a dealership? I actually bought a used Lexus Keyfob with the same part # and FCC ID number as our keyfobs

I never figured it out. My local Subaru dealer said it would only be $15 to program the key fob. I didn't do it yet, though, because the dealership is out of the way for me.
