Recommendations for Wheel Cleaner?
I used to just handwash it with car soap, but the stock frs rims are a pain to clean. Is there any good spray on cleaner that I can use and just rinse off?

i used it cleaning someone's suv and i stunk for the rest of the day. it works VERY VERY well but just stinks so bad. i put it in 1 bag in my detailing bag and it still stunk, so i put another bag around it. i knew it worked well once it easily removed a stubborn spot on the wheel. came off nicely. |

Most of the time, light abrasion is still necessary to get into the hard to reach spots unless you're using a pretty banging pressure washer or spraying liberal amounts of wheel cleaner. Wheel woolies. |
+1 for Sonax and some wheel brushes.

Sonax all the way :)

I got this brush, works pretty well:

I really need a lug nut brush, but I can't bring myself to pay $16 for this: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Griots-Garage-15597-Cleaning-Brush/dp/B004UQR1UM/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1393625494&sr= 1-1&keywords=lug+nut+brush"]Griot's Garage 15597 Lug Nut Cleaning Brush : Amazon.com : Automotive[/ame] |
I like sonax for cleaning wheels with lots of brake dust but find it lacking when it comes to cleaning regular grime.
I usually stick to some form of all purpose cleaner. |
Sonax is brilliant. I love it and used it for years.
Then I found Brown Royal. It's just as good and 10% the cost of Sonax by volume. That's what I'm sticking with. |
OP are you looking for a weekly maintenance wheel cleaner or a one time heavy duty one?
There is a difference. Let me know so I can more specifically answer your questions and help you |
Purple Power. It's strong and cheap, but don't spray it on aluminum and make sure you rinse it off good or it will leave white residue. For best results, rinse with a pressure washer.
