5th gear issue
 

when im driving on the highway every time i shift into my 5th gear it grinds no matter what i do with the revs and the clutch fully pushed in, even with a normal up shift. i just skip the gear all together now. it happens every once in a while while normal city driving usually above 40-45 mph but it has happened as low as 35ish mph. just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if anyone knows a fix to this issue:sigh:

Take it to the dealership. Your synchros are probably shot/defective and need replacement.

I think it's a factory defect...

Tranny fluid upgrade? It's the path of least resistance. I'd still discuss your concern with your dealership to at least have your problem on file.
