Headers or Catback first?
Hey guys!
Got the mod bug on my car, and now I have a kind of chicken and egg question. Do I get the OFH/OFT combo or do I get the Perrin 2.5" Resonated Catback first? Any problems with modding the header without touching the rest of the exhaust line? Just need experts' opinion on the question! Cheers  |
OFH/OFT for real noticeable hp gains ;)

Definitely. I noticed the difference right away with the OFT. If I hadn't pre ordered headers back in December, I would have gone with the OFH.

Thanks guys, OpenFlash combo it is then! :)

Dip is gone with OFH and OFT stage2 - at least for me @ 93oct. If you are banging through the gears at wot with this combo you only see sub 4k rpms for 1st and maybe 2nd gear. The rest stay above 5K ... you get to 100+mph in a hurry and still have 2 more gears to think about... :burnrubber: I did several more pulls tonight and I have to say - my little FR-S is turning into a beast. The FA20 engine sounds divine shifting out at 7K rpms to the next cog. If the car would have came from the factory like this, our little club would not be as exclusive as it is now :D |

OFT+OFH!!! You will love it. If you have E85, it will be even better!

Here is my $0.02...your warranty will most likely be affected by the tune should you have some issue I the future. If that possibility doesn't bother you, then headers and tune first. I was in the same boat and just did the catback first. I figure by the time I save up enough now for the header and tune my warranty will be almost gone and I won't worry about it.
