Smythe's FR-S slow build (Firestorm Monogram MT)
 

Hello,

I just purchased my monogram FR-S a few weeks back, I'm hoping to actually have it around the beginning of April.

I had been holding out on a new car, although it sounds lame I was waiting for smart key and push button start. Scoping the WRX and the FR-S, I learned about the Monogram series and started making calls.

I learned of my soon to be FRS on Feb. 3rd, it was scheduled to be built the next day on the 4th. On the 5th I made my decision.

I finally got notice that is shipped from Japan yesterday 2/20. My experience it will still take 4-6 weeks to get into my hands.

Quick update on my Monogram FR-S,

Finally hit US soil this past weekend 3/2/14. Still waiting to be cleared by customs then to make its journey from the west coast to Cincinnati.

Well it took almost a month but I just got notice today that my FR-S is being processed at the port.
I was hoping I would have it by now but I'll still have to wait for it to cross the country and make its way to OH.
I'm still hopefull for the end of May.

Haven't posted but I finally got my Monogram FRS last Monday 4/28.

Now to start the slow build process. I'll try to post some pics this weekend to capture the starting point.
