Clear side markers

Is there a quality difference between OEM and aftermarket clear side markers?

I'm mainly concerned with water getting into the electrical components.

Least expensive place to purchase from?

There is a huge difference between on the OEM JDM Clears and the Helix ones.

We really need to take some clear photos of this but the ones that cost (helix) half as much as OEM JDM ones use little to no glue to seal them.

You get what you pay for in the end. The glue in the cheap ones may hold for a bit but don't expect them to last like OEM.

Also the glue is not clear in the Helix it has a yellow tint to it where the OEM JDM ones use clear glue.

If you are worried about quality, price point should not be the determining factor, lower price points mean lower quality.

Glad I ended up getting OEM clears, then.

usually i agree with you on bigger much larger items, but its gotta be hard to screw up the manufacturing of the side markers.

We got them as well and don't trick you into a deal by trying to sell you $100 of other junk to get them.

Its $105 shipped with leds compared to $140 excluding shipping. Also don't see how offering a discount is tricking anybody.

I have helix, so far no issues. Been on for several months now.

You're right. That is quite a huge price difference too!

SirBrass 02-21-2014 05:56 PM

I paid $55 for my JDM clear sidemarkers.
