Help Needed to remove shiny strip on wheel

2 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, hoping there is one of you out there who is more creative than me.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I get get rid of the strip that runs around the inside of my wheels? The wheels were put on by Toyota before I bought the car so I didn't really have a choice, I like the design just not the shiny strip.
I thought of trying to spray it black with either plastidip or paint but I think it will be hard to get a nice finish due to it being quite deep into the rim behind the spokes.

And yes I know the fitment needs some work but It's getting addressed soon.

Any opinions welcome :)

Thank you.

Have your wheels professionally painted.

Get them powder coated.

Do you know how to anodize aluminum?

There are so many options.

U reackon a sharpie would work? this was my first thought but figured it would look crap. Guess there's no harm in giving it a go, I would expect a professional job to be too expensive to make it worth while as well...

What do you think of plastidip then? I've never used it before.

Plastidip should work. Plenty of diy videos on youtube.

Yea, I was trollin. I would not actually recommend you sharpie it LOL but maybe some black "rim tape" stuff... it's popular amongst the motorcycle crowd. It would be a matter of finding the right size for that section of your wheel (Just measure from one end of the silver circle to the other)

For example:
