Advice - Modding / tuning recommendations in SD

Hello, new to the forums. I'm looking to get an FR-S, but I wanted to up it to ~350 hp or so. I'm pretty non-technically/mechanically inclined. Can any of you recommend non-shady modders/tuners in SD who I could have do this?

Thanks

Your best bet is to go to every shop recommended to you and check them out for yourself and then decide who you feel is shady or not, in your area relative to these forums I only know of Delicious Tuning / Infamous Performance, and I have yet to hear any bad remarks about them. Some shops may be cheaper than others but remember you get what you pay for and this is So Cal so there are plenty of options to choose from. If you drive further up from SD into OC / LA I'd recommend Evasive Motorsports or Counter Space Garage, they also do top notch work if you're okay with the drive.

Have you decided what route and what your budget is for ~350 hp? Or better yet taken a ride in one that has that amount of power? What are you planning to use the car for? I'm at 270WHP right now and it is a blast to drive, I know if I bumped up to 350 I would have some major traction issues in 3rd gear without some nice tires. I'd suggest you find some locals and ask for rides in their FI cars it shouldn't be hard to find all different levels of power.

You could just buy @GTB/ZR-1 's car and call it a day.

Nailed it. You're so kind to others sharing the good info :-)

Something to keep in mind, OP, going forced induction voids your warranty. Without any knowledge of how your aftermarket system or your motor works is not recommended. Unless of course you have another daily driver car.

Delicious Tuning in San Diego with William Knose.

He tunes @Infamous Performance on weekends. Call Mike up @Infamous Performance to setup a date they'll take care of you. They are located in Escondido not too far from ya.

I've heard good things about delicious tuning from @whataboutbob. Personally, I'll probably go to them if I need a tune

+1 for Delicious and Infamous. In SD they're the best choice IMO.
