Best Offset/Width for autocross?

I'm seriously considering getting a set of OZ Ultraleggeras, but I'd like opinions from people with track time to see if there is a golden combo of width and offset that noticeably improves stability and handling.

The Ultraleggeras are pretty light and I was considering the 17x8s because I'm staying NA for a while. I'm mostly looking for gobs more front end grip for slalom and hard braking turn-in. Zero interest in 'stance' showboating, pure utility/performance here with bang-for-buck consideration.

Big thanks in advance for tips from the racing crowd.
