cricket chirping after replaced fuel pump
hi
i had the fuel pump replaced back in 8/2013. the chirp started to slowly come back and it seems to be back to about it used to be. i took the car in last week for a service interval. oil change, tire rotation, etc. i informed them of the problem and they said they wouldn't have time to finish it today and they would schedule an appt for next week. they also said that they had the part. today was my appointment. i took time away from work to get this part replaced. i arrived, they took the car, and after a while they came and told me they would not be able to perform the replacement. they said something like subaru doesn't warranty the replacement of the same part twice or something. :iono: i then spoke with the service manager and was told that a new updated part will be available soon and that he would contact me as soon as it's available. i was pretty upset that they couldn't tell me this before i drove all the way over there for the appointment. they basically wasted my day. i've looked at the tsb reports and i saw there was a revision in 10/2013. i'm wondering if anyone else has heard of another revision coming up? thank you. fyi. this was subaru of plano |
There could be another revision... mine was built on July 2013... No crickets yet... -knock on wood-

Yea I'm on that oct 17th pump too and my crickets are back, I don't see how your tech would know they are coming out with one soon, hope they they do, they should, but we won't know till the tsb arrives.
