Hi guys,
Currently in Oxnard CA visiting Vortech Engineering. Spent a good part of the day working with their tuner on implementing the OFT on boosted BRZ. Great results. Will be spending some more time with them tomorrow and may hopefully have some news later this week that will hopefully satisfy all you OFT users hankering for boost!

More later :)

Cheers,
Shiv

Well this is the FI I want to purchase for my car so I am highly interested to see the results.

DAEMANO 02-17-2014 11:57 PM

1st - Phantom ESC
2nd - Vortech

This road can only lead to Phantom + Vortech twin charge. Just so long as the Phantom doesn't become a restriction. I'm sure there is much more to this, but for now I can dream.

Am I right?

Do it! For science!

Shiv, if Innovate happens, I don't have to jump ship to swim to Ecutek... :)

Shiv, how do you decide what you're supplying tunes for? Is it basically driven by what people have asked you to tune already?

It basically boils down to what I have direct and sufficient access to. I can't comfortably make OTS tunes for FI kits through e-tuning. So it necessary to put a kit on one of our test vehicles. I also tend to choose kits that offer good fitment, value and manufacturer support to leave the door open for reselling to our OFT customers directly (with OFT dollar discount).

That's pretty awesome support!

Phantom ESC, please!

I agree 100% with this.

nice....

Will this lead the way for using the OFT with the Jackson Racing kit?

Captain Insano 02-18-2014 08:34 PM

I'm very glad I just ordered OFT. The options for that tuning solution just keep growing. Thanks Shiv!!

Acree, I think he already answered you in his earlier post. If he has access to a Jackson Racing kit (or Innovate kit for the others wondering about that, or any kit for that matter) on a car he can beta tune for a sufficient period of time it's possible this could happen. If not, then it's not possible.

Also sounds like he prefers to have a business partnership with the SC mfg if possible. Makes sense, from a business perspective.

I need basically a limp base map to get to the tuner. I was asking more about does this mean the OFT will be able to be tuned by aftermarket tuners on FI cars...?

I see. I think I know the answer (again), but I won't speculate for Shiv.
