WTF is up with stock tire replacement?

Ran over a nail and it's not repairable due to being to close to the sidewall and NOT ONE tire store in Redwood City or San Jose area carries the stock Michilin Primacy HP.

Talk about huge PITA. You would think they would pick an OEM tire that would be easily accessible to replace in case something happened.

Really annoyed right now and needed to vent. Ha.

Doesn't sound like a problem to me. Those tires are crap anyways. Just go ahead and buy 4 new tires that aren't the Primacy HP.

Ha. Sure.....it's not a problem if you just feel like wasting money for no apparent reason.

Yes the stock tires aren't fantastic but when they only have 2400 miles on them it's a hard justification to just replace all of them because one is toast.

I'd love to replace the stock tires with a new set of wheels to replace the ugly OEM wheels but it just doesn't make sense at the moment from a cost perspective.

The fact you can't find a replacement anywhere without a special order is crazy.

They are actually great tires, just not for our cars unless you wanna slide all the time. I ran into the same problem when my tire went flat. It would've taken awhile, and they are expensive. Find someone local or willing to ship their old ones. I picked up 3 for less than 1 new.

If you want a Primacy HP tire, I have 4 used ones sitting in my garage at the moment. 6/32" tread life remaining. All yours for $250+whatever shipping comes out to be.

Mine only had 1500 mi on them when they were replaced with 18" Michelin Pilots.

Seriously though, if looking for Primacy HP's, buy them from people on here. You'll get a much better deal.

Hardly. The stock OEM tires are expensive as hell. You can pick up PSS's for WAAAY less $$.

That'll save you money in the long run, with a 300 treadwear rating and a 30,000 mile treadwear warranty for some of the best DD tires you can shoe your car with.

You can probably pick up used 2 tires for less than 1 new primacy tires. Even NEW!!!!

OEM is not always the best my man.

Im in WA state and have 4 OEM tires with 150 miles on them, for cheap. PM me. Shipping should be around 40$ for two, or $80 for all 4.
