Stalling on the highway with push button start

If the car stalls while moving, can the car be started up if you can't safely put the car to a stop?

Would depressing the clutch and hitting the button start up the motor?

Sure does.

you can stop the motor by holding the start button while driving as well.

If you're stalling your car on the highway, you may just want to stick with the AT.

put in neutral. Start like usual. Rev match to whatever gear. Profit.

I did that shit all the time when my gauges locked up and kept blinking for no reason.

Just be sure you're clear of traffic because it's obviously dangerous at night .

How the hell do you stall it while moving? I don't think I could do that if I tried (aside from something like trying to shift into 6th at 3mph...).

If you're on the highway... you're not even close to 3 MPH LOL....

So you technically can't unless there's something wrong with the car.

I've done it once before on my WRX. I had a ACT Streetlight FW with LWCP. I resetted my ecu 10 minutes before hand. I rev'd all the way up to 6k and had to drop out of first to neutral because of unexpected traffic and I stalled while moving..

Kids Heart 02-17-2014 12:02 AM

If you are still moving why not put it in gear and press the gas?

I think he means stalling in traffic, guys.

The GPS portion of my aftermarket head unit would sometimes crash in my C6 Corvette, the only way to fix it was to completely power cycle the head unit. If I was on the highway when it happened I just made sure there wasn't anyone close behind me and then quickly shut off the car and turned it back on while going 65+ mph. I'm sure the people driving near me were wondering WTF I was doing, haha.
