BeSpoke steer anybody to BRZ?

I pretty much never listen to the stereo when I drive, but I am thinking of switching to the BRZ because the standard stereo on the scion looks like it is out of a car from 1992.

If I got an FRS I would upgrade to the Bespoke just because the stock unit makes the interior look cheap, but for the price I am thinking of just buying a BRZ instead.

The BRZ doesn't get Bespoke. It may or may not come with Aha. Nothing's been confirmed yet. If they don't come with it immediately, it might be a later upgrade.

The BRZ radio is not much better. It's nice that it has nav but the screen is really low res and it's slow. If it's that important to you get the FRS and use the money you saved to buy a nice aftermarket nav.

Sorry, no. I would never buy, or not buy, a car because of the radio. If you never use it, that seems to be a pretty high price to pay for looks. If it bothered me that much, and I never used it, I would just replace it with a unit that looked OK to me, but was the cheapest one I could find at Walmart or eBay or the clearance bin at Frys or Best Buy. A heck of a lot cheaper option.

The answer is yes that it does bother me, but I'm not talking about not buying "the car" because of it. I am just saying that for the price of the bespoke I could get a BRZ, which before I realized the Bespoke was not standard, was off my list because the FRS is cheaper. Now I am reconsidering.

I don't like aftermarket items. I just don't like standard equipment that looks like it is almost 20 year old technology.

I just hope both Bespoke and Aha improve their interfaces soon because neither are impressive as they currently stand.

I like Pioneer's AppRadio interface which lets other developers write their own apps that will interface with the head unit .

Why not? You can buy a better looking/sounding radio for less than a third the price and still have enough money left over to pay some random mechanic to put it in for you if your that lazy.

The bespoke is basically like the pioneer's app radio 2 but with zypr built into it. It's not fully ready for prime time yet.

Pioneer App Radio 2 does not support bluetooth audio streaming, but other that that is a good system.

The bespoke has zypr, Zypr is a new voice-powered, cloud-based API for software developers to easily integrate the Web's best services and data across multiple platforms.

http://www.zypr.net/

Zypr is also suppose to integrate with Apple's SiRi in the near future. We will see.

Zypr will probably be integrated into the Pioneer App Radio 3 early next year.
