Arlington Meet - Friday 2/21/14
 

So Dallas has a meet, Ft. Worth has a meet, it's about time Arlington had one too. Sure, us Arlingtonians are right in the middle, but for the guys who have a bit of trouble driving either direction right after work this might be a help. @N_A brought this up in the other thread and I agreed, sometimes driving to Ft. Worth in rush hour traffic is brutal. The proposed location would be in the Arlington Highlands, tons of restaurants and it being Friday, you can bring your SO out if they have no interest in cars and make it a family thing and go out afterward. The only issue I foresee is some goofy people show up and start organizing races and ruin it for the rest of us. But again, this is all up for discussion. We have a week to decide on things as a group and we can always change the date in order to make it easier for everyone. Obviously you Dallas/Ft.Worth people are welcome too.

I go to both ftw and dallas meets I live in GP so I'll be going to this one also. Hopefully we can get more people to turn up.

Sounds good. Going to either of those is kinda tough for me, I'm in class till 4 - by the time I get back to the house to shower it's like 5 - and then the traffic is already on 360 and 30 to even get there. Open to whatever other dates/spots as well. My girlfriend doesn't understand why meets even happen, so I figure if we were to go to the Highlands, she would come out to go out after.

I know the Dallas meet I've not seen people race dunno about the ft worth ones. I will go to a arlington one I'm in mansfield now but on Fridays I don't get off till 9:(

I don't think anyone does it in Ft Worth either to be honest, I know when you get a bunch of dudes together, there's always the few that feel the need to stroke their egos. Again, time can be adjusted. I may change the title so we can discuss before we commit to a set in stone time/date

Thanks @no1r for posting this. I'm down for a meet in Arlington. Friday doesn't really work well for me though. I'm free on the weekends. Maybe we can do a monthly meet in Arlington? What day would you guys prefer?

I'm really up for any day. Times are what are most important to me. Just need everyones input :)

what about sunday? most people dont work sunday after 6-7 pm and traffic is very light in the dfw area on that day

I'm in. I live right by Lake Arlington so anywhere in Arlington is fine with me.

I believe we have decided on Saturday @ Lunchtime in the highlands. We all park outside a restaurant and draw a crowd :)

What time is "lunch" time lol
