Front License Plate Replacements

I personally find the front license plate to be a hideous requirement in CA and found that the European plates are the most minimalistic and attractive approach.
Will there be anyone replacing front license plates with these?

If I do get the FRS I intend on keeping the CA legal rear license and use an Eu front license .. but I'd have to find the front frame which could be problematic.

Have fun getting pulled over all the time

I was afraid of that but I looked around on several forums and found little to no problems .. besides an occasional $25. fine which some people haven't gotten for several years and others get couple other times.

Ill be using the front tow hook receiver to mount my plate. I really dont get the need for a front facing plate though. Theyre hideous and serve no purpose.

When you do take a couple pics .. I'm interested in how you're planning to pull it off, I havn't seen the front tow hook o.O

The receiver for the hook is behind a little cover on the front of bumper to the left of the radiator opening. The tow hook (should I call it that? its basically an I-bolt) screws into it. Its a clean way of mounting it without drilling into the bumper cover.

Its the little circle:

Awesome!
I'll look into that option if I opt for the car!

Once we get mine in we'll try setting up a plate bracket like the audi b6 skid plate

Found this from another thread.

Their is currently lots of talk in Ontario about abandoning the front plate. Not all provinces in Canada require them. If that happens in Ontario, it's a simple job of unbolting, and I'm not left with ghastly holes in my front bumper.

Thought it had something to do with being able to get accurate laser readings by State Troopers. Revenue!

Does the BRZ use the same thread pattern as the cars listed on the their site? If I was to order one, which would I have to pick? I'd rather have this then my front bumper drilled.

They're on the forum, when they develop a kit they'll let us know. Beyond knowing the thread pitch, their kits are customized to each particular bumper as far as offset etc..
