Interior- Meguiars M40 or Mother's Protectant

So I've read some threads with suggestions on interior care as far as the dash/center console/door panels go, but didn't answer my specific question. My car interior doesn't get too dirty, and I like to just dust it/slightly damp microfiber to clean if needed.

That being said, I have Mother's Protectant I used on my previous car interior, which had all hard plastics. I bought Meguiar's M40 Mirror Glaze Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner & Conditioner as a tire dressing (which I love, not overly glossy and keeps from brown blooming).

I'm not very familiar with the materials used in this interior, and I'm planning on using one of these products to dress the interior panels.

My question is, which one should I use, and what should I avoid putting these dressings on? I'm guessing avoid the steering wheel and shift boot..anything else? Or should I avoid interior dressing all together :iono:

Thanks in advance
