And not going to squeeze 600+ on this stock engine and tranny :D:D
Thanks :thanks:

no problem. based on my own observations and preferences PTuning is a wonderful kit, pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. FBM is amazing quality as is AVO. @jamesm can attest to the Revworks kit.

Revworks kit quality is great. As good as anything else out there. Ptuning is also great, but the price is a little much when you start adding it all up, and you don't even get a gtx turbo iirc. I'm also not a fan of all that intercooler piping and the turbo location. I like how they include lots of little machined pieces that are pretty, but you pay a pretty penny for them, and what that's worth to you is a personal decision lol.

Fbm kit is also high quality, very easy to tune, but has well-documented cooling issues. The fans the kit comes with are really cheap and insufficient, but they offer solutions to solve that problem. Their base kit is a pretty good deal if you stay with the gt2871r. Just budget some extra money for cooling shrouds and maybe some better fans.

MAP's new kit is also looking nice, but it's a journal-bearing (I think) oil cooled turbo and you have to hack up the crash structure to fit it.

KAB's kit is coming soon... Very nice but I'm not sure what the price will be.

We're definitely not short on good options at this point.

If revworks can get their kit out at the price they want to it'll be the value leader. Not the cheapest kit, but probably the best value for what you get.

You're right the PTuning kit doesnt come with a GTX turbo (standard GT3076 im pretty sure), but they tried one on the prototype and while it spooled earlier, they said it actually lost 3-5 hp on the top end (weird). I havent seen KAB's kit yet. by any chance do you know what base turbo they might bring to the table?

JDL looks to be a well put together kit iirc.

I have Robispec Radiator/Oil Cooler. Did 35 Dyno passes two weeks ago, sometimes five back to backtoback, oil temp did not go over 205.

Im trying to get a turbo kit that i could possibly upgrade the turbo later :cry::cry::cry:AND i cant just buy the part that i wanted because i dont know the set up and piping works.:bonk::bonk:

It sounds to me like you are stuck in the mindset of WRX/STI/Supra owners who often change out their turbos as they upgrade their cars. This car doesn't come with a factory turbo and so it isn't limited in the way those cars are. You are buying a complete kit here, so get the turbo that will ultimately meet your end goal. You can always run less boost if you want to.

I'm going to assume because of the inch long piping you get max boost before 4k rpm...what were the ambient temps that day? (Doubt you can remember, Doesn't hurt to ask lol) How's the fitment with the larger rad, tight fit or more like snug fit? If this kit comes in below Ptuning's pricey kit I'll sell my kidney for one.

On top of that, any turbo kit besides the AVO stage 1 will be more than enough for your power goals.
