On my way to work this last Tuesday a deer decided to stand on my lane....

Did you at least eat it once you were finished murdering it with your car?

woode 02-08-2014 09:51 AM

Ouch. Did you actually hit the deer or is that impact from something else after swerving?

The interior/airbags do their job properly?

No, the damage was done trying to avoid the deer, I ended hitting a road sing. The side airbag did it's job otherwise I would have ended eating my side window.

a road sign fucked up your car that bad? is it made out of paper and toothpicks?

Ammonia 02-08-2014 10:08 AM

Well thats definitely a cosmetic modification

ZionsWrath 02-08-2014 10:12 AM

you are supposed to hit the deer, now the insurance is going to love you tenderly :(

Mad1723 02-08-2014 10:49 AM

Well, now you have an excuse for an aftermarket bumper!

Sorry for your loss, fellow Asphalt brother!

How so? Just file an a claim and they will fix it. May get treated as an at fault, but that's a ton of damage right there and one accident won't matter much.

deer / road sign, either way your insurance has to pay, a deer doesn't have insurance so your insurance is gonna take a hit either way.

There is no Scion dealerships here in Italy there is a Toyota dealer and I know they have/sell the GT86 there, I was wondering if the body shop here where I have to take my car will contact them for the parts, or would they fit my Scion (new door, new rear bumber, airbags, ect)

The auto shop that I went to had to contact with Scion/Toyota for parts. But yeah you should of hit that deer because you could of killed yourself by trying to avoid it. I learn that in driving school. Kill Bambi, it's ok.

AVodka14 02-09-2014 02:08 PM

Definitely kill the car instead of avoiding it. Even though it's a natural reaction to swerve away and save the deer. Easier said than done. Glad you're okay and knowing insurance will take care of the rest. Keep us posted on your car's recovery or lack thereof.
