Opti-coat Review (Sunset Detailing)
4 Attachment(s)
Hey guys,
First time poster, looong time lurker. Picked up my WRB BRZ a couple weekends ago and had it Opti-coated by James at Sunset Detailing this past Saturday. Luckily, it didn't have too much damage to the paint from the dealership. Setting it up was straightforward; I think James will drive out to you if you're in the LA area, but my place wasn't suitable for the process so I took the trek out to Irvine. And it was well worth it. This is my first time owning a car I'd really want to keep looking beautiful on a daily basis, and James was extremely helpful in terms of getting me started, how to keep it clean, etc. After going over the car with ONR and polisher and getting it ready for the application, he put on the Opti-coat (pictures from his garage below!). The whole thing took about 4 hours. James is a great guy that really knows his cars so he'll definitely keep you entertained. The depth of the color is pretty immediately obvious with the Opti-Coat on. The thing I've really been most impressed with thus far is the water beading after a ton of rain throughout this week in LA. I'll try and update with a picture or video of how the water beads if it rains again. TL;DR: A week in, ecstatic to have had the car Opti-coated, and I can't recommend James/Sunset Detailing enough. |
