Maybe it's in the updated RaceRom file you have to attach to the ROM itself?

Yep the new feature file came later after the initial software update. All good now and loving it! Thanks @EcuTek!

BTW is there any way we can get this set up so that we don't have to transfer all of our custom maps over when the new feature files come out? that's a major PITA when you have a bunch of them. Or maybe at least get the map compare feature so it'll be a less error-prone process?

in any case... fantastic work.

Have a question with hopes you could answer. If I were to buy a cable and the software with license and a tune from X vendor will I be able to adjust certain parameters and upload custom tunes? Sorry if this has nothing to do with the thread, I'm a bit confused.

No... You'd have to make a new rom from one of the included base maps. Vendor tunes are typically locked from end users' modification.

You will be able to upload custom tunes, but will need to start from the stock maps (included with the software) and then create your custom tune from that stock map.

Like @jamesm said, the tune from vendor X will be locked and you can't modify it at all.

Kinda like the Cobb, they have off the shelve maps that you could edit. So no need to buy anything extra to do this. What about that racerom software that lets you adjust the ffs, no lift to shift? That's extra right? I was confused because some vendors sell the racerom software that allows you to edit it. A bit out of the game. Thanks.

A tuner can set you up with Racerom features, just need the cable, license and pay for tune.

if you want to be able to create your own map with racerom features and custom maps you need to buy the Racerom BRZ add on. (300-400)

Got it, so with the regular software I could just edit the common parameters, starting with a fresh map and to edit the racerom features on a custom map I need the brz add on. Thanks, clear!

I have a simple suggestion for the next feature...

anti-lag :burnrubber:

or maybe opening up some of the RaceRom code base to end users in addition to the tables? :D
