Beware of TRF morimotos HIDs ordering

I placed an order directly with the retrofit guys for an hid kit, unfortunately they mislead customers with poor shipping delivery dates. I ordered on the weekend and my package was shipped on Monday, the usps priority tracking number said end of day by Wednesday, currently the tracking is MiA since then. When I contacted the retrofit guys they don't take responsibility but only my money. Has anyone else had a poor experience with them?

Shipping on Monday sounds normal - and the lost package by USPS unfortunately sounds normal as well. Just ask them to open a request with USPS to find the package, as that needs to be done by the shipper, not the recipient.

Uh.... If you ordered on the weekend and it shipped Monday with the tracking number... It's in the hands of USPS at that point.

I would contact USPS with your tracking number to get information on the shipment.

They can't prevent or predict what happens after it leaves their hands. They haven't taken your money without a product. You ordered, they shipped it. It's up to you to contact them and ask for them to contact usps to open a ticket.

Or you could give it a couple more days. With all of the weather issues the country has been having lately, especially in Atlanta where they're located, it might be delayed.

Also, this thread was completely pointless. You can't "warn" people to beware of a company when it's out of their control after it leaves their hands.

Beyond the fact that they seem to have good ship times with essentially sending the package out the next day, and with tracking, it seems like they are not at fault at all. Like others have said it is with USPS. Not sure how the buisness is responsible for usps shipping delays (more than likely caused by the weather). Also priority is not a guatanteed delivery date but only an estimate for reasons just like this.

Also try the vendor review forum next time so at least its in the right place.

They may have PRINTED the label that doesnt mean the USPS HAS the items...

... or USPS sucks at tracking.

I once shipped a oil sample to Blackstone w/ tracking. The package was never scanned. I filed a report for a missing shipment 2 weeks afterwards, and by coincidence Blackstone completed my oil analysis the day after.

Then, two weeks after the report was filed, I got a call from the manager of the USPS location where it was shipped from saying that they did an internal audit and it shows the package was shipped. From start to finish it took them 4 weeks to realize that my item was shipped.

OP's problem is that 1) he ordered on a weekend and expected USPS to ship on a weekend... not even UPS does that. And 2) item was shipped via USPS. Good luck with that!

Yeah - this week my USPS tracking # has shown nothing. No progress, just that it was created. I checked this morning and poof - it's out for delivery today.

USPS's fault, not TRS. Misleading title, OP.

He said it was marked as shipped with an eta, meaning usps has received and done an inital scan.

Besides, the usps tracking is updated like every few days (it has gotten a bit better recently) so you can really use that as a good judge of where your package actually is.

Usps has been doing this alot lately with stamps.com and their own site. Dunno why just bad system

I've ordered tons of stuff from TRS and always have selected UPS because they ship/deliver Saturdays. Usually takes no more than 5 business days for it to arrive (even to SF where OP is now and where I used to reside).

FYI, use coupon code "TRSRCFS" for free UPS ground shipping on orders $25+.

Beware of annoying and impatient customers
