WOOT has great deal for track cams
 

Hey folks,

Just wanted to pass on that WOOT.com has some cheap Gear Pro cameras from $39-59 bucks. I figured you guys that like to take video of your track runs or other drives may be interested thus my posting... Here is the link:

I wonder how these compare to Go Pro cameras (probably not well at all based on price comparison)

There are some reviews on Amazon. Mixed bag.

I bought three of these last year. The mic will be extremely muffled with the clear hard case on. I have a video using the camera with the clear hard case and I had to use a video editor to turn up the volume 300% for it to be as audible as it is. I don't have a video posted without the clear case but without it, it sounds just fine. FYI the program I used to edit the video cropped the video all retarted when I rotated the video so dont use that as a basis for video quality.

Yeah, I figured these wouldn't be the best cameras out there; however, I'd much rather have a 40-60 dollar camera get busted than a much more expensive one. :)
