Shop recommendation for OEM mudguards?
 

Anyone have a shop recommendation that sells and installs OEM mudguards for a good price in the Bay Area or Sacramento?

it takes about 15 min to do it yourself, super easy, just have to remove each wheel when you install the guards, there is 1 screw that needs to be installed in the wheel well area. you can do it w/o removing the wheels one at a time if you have a short (1-2 inch) phillips head screwdriver.

Do you need to drill anything? I was originally looking for a shop since I didn't want to take the wheels off myself, but I didn't know it was possible to do it with them on.

You can get by without drilling, but you will have to install one screw which goes through the soft plastic in the wheel wells. If you have a shorty Phillips head, you can just get in there with enough pressure to get the screw in there. I would NOT recommend installing oem mud guards without installing the screw, it's what securely mounted and keeps then from being ripped off at speed... Others have installed without the screw, and haven't had problems, but really it's easy, and more sturdy.

Also, make sure to take a quick second and clean and wax the area directly under where the mud guards will cover the paint, you don't want dirt trapped between the guards and the paint.. I used quick detailer, and spray wax.

I bought mine from Amazon, $57 shipped. If you're going to do it, do it right -- don't cut corners. Yes, you should drill for the inner screws and clips, and @Danklvr made a great point about cleaning off the panel prior to installation.

I am in sac, took me 10 min to do. Ordered on ebay for $40 shipped. All you need is a torque wrench for the rear wheels. If we have a meet in sac, I can do it for you.
