Who has debadged their Scion FR-S?

Who here has debadged their Scion FR-S and replaced it with a Toyota emblem, and why?

I'm just curious and thought this would be an interesting discussion. Personally, I don't have any plans on debadging mine, as I have a 10 series and the emblem illuminates.

I'll summarize what will be posted on the next 10 pages.

Toyota Emblem Guy: I feel like the car should have been here as a Toyota and/or Scion is a brand everyone hates

Scion Emblem Guy: I don't care, only people who rebadge have an inferiority complex

10 Series guy with Scion Emblems: I don't care because the badge illuminates and/or it's too much work to swap out

10 Series/Monogram guy with Toyota Emblems: All I want is the GT86

BRZ guy: LOL look at all these people going crazy.

This is in no means to offend anyone, this is what I've read in the last 10 threads that had 20 pages each on this topic.

I did.
Two reasons:
The toyota badge looks cleaner imo.
and
Everywhere in the world is a Toyota

OK ..... discussion.

I like the Scion badge; I think it looks crisp and modern.

I think the Toyota badge looks heavy and ugly, like a bloated "brand" from a Texas steer .... :eyebulge:

Wolfking 02-04-2014 10:06 PM

I've considered it, however to do it correctly one must change the badge on the steering wheel. Not worth the extra $ imo!

Badges? I don't need no stinkn' badges!

Talk about a lot of money spent on something so frivolous.

To those with short memories the Toyota logo makes you think of old guy Camry, ugly Matrix, slow Prius, lady bug arsed Solara, and wannabe Lexus Avalon while those with longer memories think of the glory years with the Supra, Celica, and MR2.

And what does Scion make them think of?

I debadged mine last weekend and put the GT-86 logo on the back I'm running with no make emblems right now but I'm debating on putting toyota ones back on.. I will say however the goop on the FRONT of the car is near impossible to get off. Been running a week with it still on rofl.. I even have goo gone and a heat gun that shit is like crazy strong. Gonna figure out something soon to get it off then I'll probably put the toyota emblems on front and rear.

I think the Toyota badge looks like a chrome uterus.

AVodka14 02-04-2014 10:44 PM

Because there is nothing Scion about the damn car. The tC took over the Celica so it was a Toyota all around. The only Scion I know of is the xA,xB, and the other small piece shit they make. And yes, Toyota ultimately makes those vehicles. Yet they are original designs for the Scion Brand. The Celica was simply rebranded as a Scion in my opinion and the name changed to tC (touring coupe). The tC was given the 2.4L Camry engine with VVTi. Not the bad ass 1.8L VVTi-L engine from the Celica GT-S.

P.S.

For those that didn't know...the 1.8L engine from the Celica GT-S was used in the Lotus Elise R and Lotus Elise SC (supercharged edition). The Elise reminds of what a modern MR2 would look like. Toyota is everywhere. You can't get away from it so just accept it. lol. Check this out:

Long live the MKIV Supra!

Back to the topic of discussion, haha!

I'm looking for Moskvitch badges, but OP said "debadge" as in none.
