[Canada] FRS Winter Tire

For your winter tires did you go for a 16inch or 17inch? Anyone knows if I can get any good quality winter tires for winter?

16"

hankook i*cept evo

i'd recomend Talon Tire in your area.

I got stock size (215/45/17) winter tires to put on the stock wheels.
Ended up going for Blizzak WS70's and they're basically unstoppable. We've had some of the worst snow I've seen in years in Calgary, and I've yet to get stuck.
My car plows through where other cars, even my mom's SUV, got stuck. :)

Im having Falken EPZ on stock rims
pretty effective on snow. sometime I want to drift a bit in a empty lot but it wont let me lol

Toyo GSi-5 on 16" wheels.

Haven't gotten stuck once and we've had a crap-ton of snow this year. I hopefully have not jinxed myself.

I have this exact set-up. Great tire, although a little drifty feeling at dry highway speeds.

You got the tire code, can I buy that and it will fit or do I need spacers or other parts?

They are 205/50/16 mounted on RWC alloy wheels that Toyota sells. No spacers required.

I've read good things about the Altimax Artic on stock rims in the other threads if your looking for an option cheaper than the Blizzak WS70s. The WS70s seem to be the most popular option on this forum.

I personally went with the Bridgestone LM60s. Its a performance winter tire, so it is not going to out do the WS70s. Usually the southern most point in Canada has mild winters compared to Ottawa, Calgary, etc. But this year oddly worse with plenty of big storms that our southern US counterparts are dealing with and the tires have worked just fine.

205/50/16 Hankook W310s on 16X7" OEM Subaru 2.5RS wheels.
