Everything in life is negotiable ;-) the current price reflects what it would cost to build from scratch since it's the only one out there, the fact that it runs today, and is ready to drive home. Like you mentioned, the swap kit itself is 9K. My price can come down quite a bit for a serious buyer with cash who is interested in the current set up.
The whole argument about XX car for XX money is as old as cars themselves. You could build a lot of different cars for 50k, this is just an option out there. Why roll in a 200hp frs/brz for 25k when you could buy a used fbody for 10k and put 15k into a 1000 hp set up. It's all what a person wants. I think most of us have whatever that bug is that can't leave a car stock heheh. I understand some people don't "get it" but if you're ever in the new england area, let me know, I'll take you for a ride and I can guarantee you'll have a big grin on your face! If there's someone seriously interested in it, don't get too hung up with the price, I could certainly work with them on setting the car up to how they'd like it. For example, if I keep the LS2 and throw a LS1 in there, I'd probably just eat the chassis improvement costs and let it go for the base car + swap cost. I also have a good relationship with WGP and I know they were looking for people interested in the 2J or VR38 swap. This car is a great basis for it, I'm pretty sure they'd use the existing swap kit as the starting point and do it at a very reasonable rate. PM if you're interested in that route, it's a bit off topic of the sale of the car. Thanks for the interest guys and keep the comments coming! -B |
Oh, I'll see if I can snag some interior pics tonight, nothing done inside except the gauge cluster

If you posted up a serious/firm price instead of a ridiculously high come-haggle-me price you may generate more interest. $32k for something without an engine or tranny is, frankly, stupid, considering one with an engine/tranny (and a turbo if you go used) can be had for $24-$25k.

Sell an fbody for 10k???? Is it made of gold?? Lol!!!

Hell for the cost/labor/parts that have already gone into my setup I could just trade you my motor and turbo setup for the LS2 swap. Stock motors are ~$4000, add $1000 for built internals, add $6000 for D3PE full turbo kit. Then subtract ~$3000 for miles/usage and the fact that I'd be giving out everything at once. So that's about $8000. Just tossing out ideas at this point. Let's talk though, I do need to see pictures/build quality. I'm not interested in half assed jobs, I'll be beating the shit out of this thing at the track and strip. Edit: Someone just informed me that the full conversion kit with motor and transmissions and everything is $8,000. Wondering if this includes labor, and if you take my motor setup as partial payment for the job. That's all, thanks! |

engine and trans : 9000$
conversion kit will need (+/- 8000$): engine and trans mounts driveshaft oil pan clutch master cylinder cooling components fuel system wiring and ecu upgrades to oem components a/c and heat components gauge cluster and labor time so we are talking roughly 20000$ note there are no brake upgrades, no suspension upgrades etc etc im wondering if FI isnt a better option than a ls swap.. but i do love v8's dont get me wrong i'm also wondering if anyone knows the price of a decent 400 hp 2jz swap |
Its easy to tell who in this thread has been in the garage turning wrenches, and who builds cars from their computer. Anyone who questions the cost to build this type of car, I'm sure we'd all like you to lay out the path to 500hp frs/brz for less.
While there are many ways to go, the off the shelf LS2 starts at 400 reliable HP. The LS is a pretty straightforward engine and this built stroker has plenty of head room for even more power through FI or nitrous. |
Still have and if so text me 5616012829
