FRS arrival for regular customers question

Did any of you guys (regular FRS customers) were told that your car is already in port and ready for delivery to your local dealership? (Train then freight)
I was told by my dealership that my car is already in a port in San Diego and it will take a couple of weeks for it to be delivered to my local scion/toyota dealership. They also gave me a VIN

I had my car in for inspection at a Scion dealer today so I asked one of the sales people and he said they'd be getting their first shipment of 5 by the end of May. They are not in port yet though. BTW for anyone in Mass, Sean at Boch Toyota is a cool guy and they still have 3 of those 5 that aren't sold

My dealership doesn't have a First 86 and our first one should be in by the 18th-21st. The "official" on sale date is 6/1/12. I believe Scion/Toyota wants us to hold it until that date, but if we have a buyer ready to purchase it, I'm thinking that we will deliver it to the customer and just RDR it on 6-1-12.

I don't understand how Toyota can have inventory up for grabs and yet Subaru customers on a waiting list have to wait up to 7 months. It's senseless.

Press coverage has indicated that Toyota is getting the lions share of the factory capacity as the major money partner in the deal If I recall correctly.

I've received official allocation from Scion, but my car is leaving Japan now. ETA 6 weeks; I'm pleased that I'm getting the one I want and can wait a little longer.

I feel ya man. I myself pre ordered a brz back in march 17th and I haven't heard anything from my dealership. So far I only got my VON for the brz and SOA told me my pre order status is still "Wait List". So that is why I'm leaning towards the FRS now since they've given me an ETA and a VIN. To be honest I actually just called this toyota/scion dealership this morning and asked if they still have available cars to pre order and they told me three are expected to arrive at their dealerships in a couple of weeks! two sold and one up for grabs!

Dealer told me 28th, but it is up in the air if I can take it before June, 1st. I can wait a few days though. (might not get sleep though lol)

I know that the public release is June 1st but does that mean if our cars arrive before that date we can't take it home yet?

My dealer called today and said that mine (DGM MT FRS) should be here in "a couple of weeks." He also added that there would be a Red AT FRS available, and I could get dibs on that once it arrives. But then he went on to say that the car would be there as a showroom car until June 1st. So sketchy... Toyota of Pasadena btw.

That's between you and the dealer, and how rebellious, or by the book the managers are. So, I guess it wouldn't hurt to give them a call and ask, or maybe prod them for early delivery lol

Dookie, I didn't know you pre ordered an FRS too! lol I guess you've gone tired of Subaru's waitlist? haha

The dealership I pre ordered mine didn't say anything about not being able to drive home the car before June 1st...hmmm might have to confirm with them tomorrow. And that's what they also told me that my car will be here "in a couple of weeks" I don't know how accurate that is but he said he will update me when my car is on the train, the freight and when it gets here.
