Opinons on this combination

Have not seen this combination in videos or on threads.
I'm looking to keep both cats and noise down to legal limits in Australia but improve flow.

1)Greddy intake
2)Nameless Downpipe with helmhotz resonator and high flow cat (RHD so overpipe will not fit)
3)Tomei 60s (Looking to keep weight down)

Waiting for more catted headers to be released but perhaps the HKS EL catted one.

Any comments on the above? Possible? Suggestions for improvement? Ta!

drop the intake. not worth the headache for what little (if any) gains are to be had. stick to a high-flow filter and the stock airbox/maf location.

But they claim a 6-7 increase in torque etc. You reckon a high flow filter would do much the same?

What the claim and what they deliver are two different things. I purchases the injen cai and it was a nightmare. Sure it sounded cool but my engine would choke up and stall. I eventually got to return it. For now the best improvement you can make dor intake is a drop in

There's a Grimmspeed thread that's going right now. They tested a bunch on intake combo's and there were very little gains. They're working out a proper intake right now. The intakes sound/look really great though, but performance-wise a high flow panel filter in a bolt-on N/A application on this car will be just as good or better.

Your best bet is to get:

1) HKS Drop-in air filter
2) hi-flow front pipe
3) Perrin inlet tube (optional)
4) overpipe is optional imho

or

Just go with:
1) http://ft86speedfactory.com/supertek...lter-1346.html
2) hi-flow front pipe
3) overpipe is optional imho

Their filter looks a lot like the K&N (not sure the gains however).
