Nameless Axelback

After reading all the reviews, I decided to go with the Nameless axelback for my FRS.

Any last-minute warnings before I place the order? :) Also wanted to see if there were still any group buys going on....

Thanks

Only downside is you have to use the stock midpipe. There is no catback version, just the axleback. It gets extremely loud with a catless header and gets raspy. If you're planning on just an overpipe/downpipe and the axleback, you will be fine. If you plan on getting a header, you may want something with a bit more muffle to keep it fairly loud, but not raspy.

Never seen a group buy for these. I have them, fitment is great and they sound great too.

What size piping and mufflers (if any) did you order ... ??

It's purely looks great and sounds good. No performance addition. As Matt indicated above, can't modify stock midpipe if you go this route which kinda sucks. I just installed mines.

others pretty much answered your question.
Nameless developed mid-pipe but did not see much gain.
mine is 4" muffler with Motiv catless front pipe and sounds great.
I might switch to catted front pipe if i ever go and get header.
FT86Factory has Catted header one so should be ok with that setup as well

Full header back was just released in 3"
Probably part of the header tuning development time was dedicated to this.

Yeah... rasp central if you choose that one. Remember, this is the one you heard at C&C, lol. Way too brutal.

Cool someone else from Jax. Hopefully I'll get to hear it on the street when you get it!

Thanks for the feedback.

Going with the 2.5" and 5" mufflers. Also ordered a Greddy Momentum intake (which hasn't come in yet). I'm getting old, and don't like a lot of noise (unless it's the right kind of noise :)), so I probably won't do a whole lot of other stuff anytime soon.

Love the car! I grin all the way to work and all the way home every day. I'll probably giggle all day with the axleback and intake:D

Thanks again for the help.

Honestly, if Nameless increases the resonator size in the midpipe, and adds a Helmholtz resonator to the downpipe, which they said is now available, it might sound better. Helmholtz wasn't an option when I custom ordered mine. Either way, save 3" for turbo.... it's not worth sounding like ass for only a few ponies. My N1 is loud, but it sounds like an STi now which I love. I can't stand rasp...

Good choice.

Now you will be all ready to take that machine up into the hills north of you and have some driving fun!
