Is manual louder than automatic?
 
This May be a dumb question but I have a manual brz and an automatic frs both stock. Whenever I drive the brz I feel like it's a lot louder.

Even with the frs in manual mode if I shift at the same time the brz just seems louder. maybe it's just my mind lol

Ha if I were sharing cars idk if Ida gotten the same 1 but atleast you can really decide which suits you best this way! I never drove the MT, wish I had...

It seems that way. I sold my automatic BRZ and replaced it with a manual, and the transmission noise does seem noticeably louder.

I have observed that most cars with MT are louder than cars with AT.

Gears meshing together are louder than fluid slushing through journals.

Not sure which OP is referring to but I was more referring to the amount of noise when you're in gear. I do certainly like the sound of the gears meshing though.

Well, it is a completely different gear box. Maybe the MT box is a lot louder? Dunno. I assume in the MT you just shift a lot later

A BRZ has a little bit more power than an FRS so it's probably also a little bit louder.
