MF_DEUCE 05-04-2012 02:53 PM

He would throw 19s on it. and how many times did he say TRD exhaust? lol

chate 05-04-2012 02:53 PM

lol when did the one and only 5axis kitted FRS become Jack's personal car?

chate 05-04-2012 02:54 PM

two different wheel designs on the 2 sides (same car we've seen going around)

they probably gave it to him to rep it, being the CEO of Scion and all. Looks more impressive for him and Scion than driving around in a Corolla or Camry.

Hey I never noticed it got the fogs installed on it.

MarkRacerX 05-04-2012 03:15 PM

Yeah at the 1st 86 event he said no touching the car since it was " His car " : ) Funny still has two different wheels on ea side. I fig just to show styles they will have, not keeping it on it!

Exhaust 05-04-2012 04:47 PM

Ive been trying and trying and trying... but i just cant like this kit.

Turbowned 05-04-2012 04:52 PM

It's a body kit, and wheels, and an exhaust, and.... wheels. LOL He doesn't sound quite as much like the car person everyone makes him out to be

Did you just find out? :D

blu_ 05-04-2012 05:06 PM

Needs 20's w/spinners.

ZetaVI 05-04-2012 05:12 PM

Two wheel designs. If you don't want to buy one design Jack will def try to make you buy the other.

Jack Hollis is very much an enthusiast for Toyota and all of it's brands. It's practically the only company he's ever worked for. I remember talking to him at the premiere and he said over eighteen years ago he walked into Toyota and handed out several copies of his resume to HR personnel. Moving up the ranks and into management he's quite the success story. Watching his interaction with people at the premiere and talking to him personally I have no doubt Hollis is not only a champion for the brand and the product, but that he's also a true car guy. He's so personable it's not even funny, and he definitely cares about the enthusiast community. I've certainly met and seen some of the more academic, non-enthusiast types that work in the industry and he's definitely not one of them. Quit your hating and do your research.

The TRD exhaust sounds phenomenal. No doubt the exhaust of choice for when I pick my car up. 19's are a bit too big for a car of this caliber I believe, but with the right wheel setup it's probably an aesthetic winner, but not something I'm interested in at this point. Who knows, that could change, but any bigger than this and you're straight trippin'.

Turbowned 05-04-2012 05:29 PM

Relax, man. I'm not hating; I'm sure he's a great guy. That's what I've heard from everyone. It just doesn't seem like he knows the mechanics of the car quite as much as geeks like me would. Maybe he does and it just doesn't show in the interview.

So fogs will be available as a dealer accessory?

Guff 05-05-2012 02:53 AM

Can't having wheels of different weights on either side create some steering complications? Or am I just talking out my ass?

86design 05-05-2012 05:47 AM

:( i want my car already lol

titusdrake 05-05-2012 10:30 AM

Jack is a cool guy for sure.

Nice exhaust note.

Hawaiian 05-22-2012 02:48 PM

Why does it have 2 different rims on it?

I ask this every time I see it...

Also, I remember this being posted a long ass time ago, but I'm too lazy to find it so... Meh.

Symbiont 05-22-2012 02:50 PM

I believe he has it like that to showcase the different 5axis options. I remember seeing this exact car with the same rims in a show before... Think it was in some of Moto-P's pics.

Can never see more than one side of the car at a time. More than likely for marketing reasons here to show off the wheel options, but I remember one guy doing it with a G35 because they couldn't decide on wheel color.

Snoopyalien24 05-22-2012 04:16 PM

Wait.. 19" wheels are fun? I don't even

Look good - yes, fun- maybe not so much

The offset of staggered wheels.

They mean that it has a different style wheel on the left side than it does on the right. It is a marketing thing to show off options.

75 carrera 05-22-2012 06:04 PM

anyone notice the tire size....perhaps in long beach?
