Interior size compared to current 911 (991)?

One if the best things for me about the FRS is that I can fit my to youngest kids in it - I love sharing the sports car experience with them. The 911 & Evora are the current sport cars of a similar size with back seats. I've always been enamored with the 911 and was wondering how roomy the interior is for both front & rear seating of the 911 vs the FR-S?

Can't speak to the newer 911's, but my '87 has about the same space in the back seat area as the FR-S. Of course, there is no rear trunk, but a smaller one in the front. Overall, the FR-S has a bit more trunk space.

One great thing about owning a BRZ/FR-S is they've been compared to every sports car known to man, including the current-gen 911 Carrera S.

Skip to 4:30 to see a comparison of rear seat space.

One thing you do get for the extra 70K is a split back seat; each side can be flipped down to form a handy parcel shelf. Great for a quick stop at TJ's on the way home.

And that feature is easy to use because the front seats return to their original positions after being leaned forward.

Don't know why they didn't include that seat-return feature in the twins -- even less expensive Minis have it.

It added weight that why its not in FRS.
