Enable DRL??

Anyone know how to enable DRL? MY car is equipped with HID with LED strip Lamp, but cannot find DRL function thru Toyota Techstream.

In our Philippine spec cars, we just have to plug in a relay in the DRL slot in the fuse box. Try unplugging your horn relay and plugging it into the DRL socket before you buy a relay.

I did put Horn delay into DRL socket, but did not work. Then, I went to dealer to enable thru techstream. Unfortunately, It does not have DRL menu. My car vin no. is 5xxx. I am not sure I got older ECU version or not. What is ur VIN no?

Yes there is no option to enable DRL using techstream even on my car with VIN number 10xxx. Seems like your cars are similar to the South Aftrican cars. The DRL relay also did not work for them.

You might need the new ECU to turn it on. I have the same problem. Dont know it if is wise to just update the older ECU.

Hey were you able to get the DRL working? I just got a JDM 86 and it has the LEDs that are on with normal lighting and it has fog lights, however it doesn't seem to have DRL control, the DRL relay slot is there but it don't have wires to it, there is a DRL fuse, checking to see if there is a fix or these just don't have DRL features.
thanks.

Toyota's that have DRL use a cigarette pack size DRL box right under the steering wheel. From what I understand though if the car is not already wired for you cannot use it, but many international vehicles come prewired for it even if they don't include it.
