Tokyo Motor Show press days starts tomorrow (tonight here in North America)!!

So the Tokyo Motor Show press days starts tomorrow morning in Tokyo (tonight here in North America), and I presume that the Ft-86 will be unveiled to the press journalists.

What's everyone guessing or hoping will be revealed about this car?

I want to know:
-- engine specs and performance #'s
-- weight
-- if the production form will basically resemble the concept form
-- solid date for production

Did I miss anything? Think we'll get this info?

I think, we can get bout 3 out of 4 of stuff you wrote, but I highly doubt resemblance of concept to production model gonna be same. They still have 2 yrs, so I'm pretty sure they gonna change the body shape and other etc.

Ya imma agree with ichitaka on that, im sure the body lines will change a bit from the concept to the production model as it happens with just about every car

Yea and it almost always looks worse, which is one thing I'm afraid of with this car since most late model Toyotas are totally boring looking to me :(

Why do they have to change it up so much anyway? I guess to meet safety standards and all that other nonesense? :) Such a shame, so many nice concept cars have been butchered by the time they hit production.

What time will we get more info?

Hoping to get all the info you posted but won't hold my breath...

Hopefully some info comes out just in a few hours.

Without a doubt.

Its going to be the Engine bay shot pictures. That is going to be the money shot. It should give the people confirm assumption into confirm facts. Also finding
the information within the engine bay area such as the coding of the possible
chassis name, Toyota's engine code series numbers, etc. Just small things to confirm
some stuff into plausible facts.

This shot, however, is finally making the car look as small as a Mazda3 (which it is as small as):

Actually, it's far, FAR smaller than a Mazda3. The wheelbase is similar length (only shorter by a couple inches) but look at that LACK OF OVERHANG!!

Edit: By the way, the NYT (for what that's worth) is reporting that this might be out NEXT YEAR!

With the introduction of the FT-86 concept at Tokyo, Toyota is sending a message that it cares again about selling some sizzle. A production version – will it be called a Celica? – is likely to go on sale next year.
Ok, we can dream, can't we? Lol...

"chassis from the legacy" (NYT), that makes it sound so...heavy! ;(

I wonder if this is based off any actual facts or word from Toyota, or just their own guess. I'm gonna say it's their own guess since Toyota hasn't really said a peep extra about the car so far at the show  BUT I hope I'm wrong!!
