GPStrackTime.com will be having our 2014 events at the Autobahn Country Club and Blackhawk Farms Raceway again this season. Both are Saturday dates:

Autobahn North Circuit, April 19th:

$230- No GPS, (6)- 20 Minute Lap Sessions / (7)-20 Minute for Advanced Group Car Sharing

$250 -Same as above with GPS Data Acquisition and Report

$50 -Car Sharing


Blackhawk Farms Raceway, September 20th:

$195- No GPS, (7)-20 Minute Lap Sessions

$215 -with GPS Data Acquisition and Report

$50 -Car Sharing

How does the Car Sharing work? If my dad and I both register and bring our own cars, can we swap or do we have to each pay the extra $50?

If you and your dad both register, you may drive each other's car in the same run group (example: Novice) for free.

The $50 car sharing fee is for 2 registered drivers sharing 1 car (in the same run group).

Does that price come with an instructor for newbies like me? What's a good course for a track newbie? I've done many autocross events, but I want to try tracking this year.

Yes, as a first "timer", you will have a dedicated instructor with you the entire day; all scheduled six-20 minute lap sessions. This is INCLUDED in the price.

It will also be possible, to drive on your own, if the instructor signs you off when he/she believes you are ready. But this is obviously only if you are comfortable with it.

There will also be classroom sessions taught by our chief instructor throughout the day too.

In my opinion, the north circuit is the perfect beginners track. It features a relatively simple layout:

PS. Passing is only allowed on the straights (between 5-6, 6-7 and 9-1) with a point by.
