Good to see this thread... I'm having the same problem. Barely made it into the dealer. By the time I got there they couldn't get it into first gear without stalling the car. They had to push the car into the shop. They're telling me that I may have to pay them $1500 for tear down and inspection if they find that it's not a factory defect.
What a relief I'm not the only one with the same problem. |

Yeah, THAT squeak is from a seized throwout bearing. It's a quick trip to full meltdown from there.

My car is otherwise heavily modded, but it's still the stock clutch Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

If the pedal is squeaky, I'd recommend checking your slave fork, and grease it with high temp grease if the grease is gone. |
Mine wasn't just squeaky, it was also "crunchy" as well. The tech described it as a dry throw out bearing which makes sense.

Mine started to squeak back in May I believe. I've done two track days and a lot of hard canyon cruises. Subaru Pacific just didn't want to open up the transmission and check it. They just told me to come back when it gets worse saying that I still have a lot of warranty miles left.... |

Even with a bad bearing, the car should run for quite a while, but it's better to get it replaced sooner, rather than later. The bearing is cheap, but the labor is $$$. |
