Interior Dome Light Issues

Any one start to have intermittent problems with the interior dome light not turning on?

I am assuming it have a loose connection somewhere. but I haven't ever had it apart.

My interior lighting is stock
Its an US FRS if it makes a difference

Any direction would be appreciated before I start tearing things apart

I had an issue with mine a couple of months ago,
The door would not trigger the dome light.
The 3way switch did let the dome light work when set to "on".
Turned out to be the BIU controller underneath the steering wheel was bad.
Had to wait for the part and it was all covered under warranty.
Dealer wanted to know if I used LED's or cut wires in the vehicle.
(I did not).
Before I went to the dealer I did check:
Fuses: there are 2 in the engine compartment.
Voltage on the dome light assembly: Only had 3 Volts on the door trigger.
Check these 2 before you go to the dealer, might be a fuse.

Hope it helps:)

I'm having the same issue, except that I just tested the bulb terminals with a volt meter and I'm getting ~12 volts, so I think my bulb may be burnt out. It's hard to tell just by looking at it for whatever reason.

Also, why the hell did they make it so hard to change the bulb without marring up the dome light bezel. Minor complaint, but it's also a complete oversight. They at least could have made the snap tabs wider so that I could use a coin or a larger screwdriver that wouldn't have applied so much force to a small area. I wrapped the screwdriver with a paper towel hoping that'd be enough, but no luck.
