Interior Sightings?

I just purchased my car a month ago, and I already dislike the plastic already. I was wondering if anyone has seen any good deals on carbon fiber / leather interior? Best ones I found

http://www.redlinegoods.com/BRZshiftboot.php

for nearly 350$

Going to trick it out inside and out to engine (warranty period you know, don't want to void it just yet).

CF = tacky. Get it done tastefully, the more it looks factory the better.

Holy crap, the quality of their work looks AWFUL. :barf: Those "leather" pieces could've been sewn together better by my 8 year old niece. And that giant BRZ emblem is tacky as hell. JPM stuff is pricier but looks wayyyyy better. And yeah, carbon fiber looks tacky.

@ Turbo95eg6, I agree CF does look tacky if you cover the whole interior. But due to me having intentions of having the whole outside carbon fiber, mild enhancements (steering wheel plastic to CF) heated buttons and ring manual stick cover, and door handles would be the only aesthetics to it. Everything else will be leather and match directly to manufacturer only including the ceiling. All will have outline stitching with bright red. Have a light smoked tint with ceramic to keep everything envy-able.

Thanks G-Man, I looked at them and saw that they have the sun visor and B Pillars which looks very nice.

Dry Carbon could be ok, not resin covered. Looks tacky. And for the love of god, no fake CF.

SirBrass 01-28-2014 03:31 PM

JPM for the win. Definitely. That, or get your interior pieces hydro(hydra?)dipped. Looks fantastic. Several AZ 86ers have had it done on their interior and engine bay pieces.

Good idea SirBrass I contacted a guy to get the AC controls dipped and stick shift frame. Let's see how the pricing goes for a est. from 972-775-3224 1040 Dividend Rd. Midlothian, TX 76065. I agree Turbo95eg6, if it looks carbon, it is strongly preferred to be carbon. They have some metal finishes which would look equally as nice.

SubiNewbie 01-28-2014 05:43 PM

"We can do these three parts at $125.00" Not bad. Not sure if they can darken the finish based on the texture.

I got the radio and passenger trim in dry carbon from a vendor here for $270. @F-T

I dont see how CF is tacky. Its a taste. Personally the only thing I would CF is the dash panel, i wouldn't call that "tacky".

They just make the wrap to what you want, those are customer installed images. They really need to get better pics of their stuff installed for these cars though, cause that looks pretty bad I'll agree.

Redline does great stuff for the Miata, don't imagine their other products would be worse...

SubiNewbie 01-28-2014 06:24 PM

Well, I will get those and will get it molded to the dash. I have a upholstery shop here that will do it, but did not mention how much. And due to my clumsiness I will probably get that all chopped up to death. Plus several custom shops available for me to look into. I'll keep you all updated once I have the finances, but won't be done until mid Feb.
