backed into a support column

I accidentally backed into a cement column at a parking lot. I tried my best to fix it but if you look close you can still see the scratches. Anyone have suggestions to make it even less visible?

After: This is the best i can do. You can still see the scratches. Some are deep. Process was Scratch X 2.0 -> Touch up paint -> Ultimate Compound -> Ultimate Wax

I've never done wet sanding. After wet sand how do i bring back the color and gloss?

Then don't do it until you practice on something else, wet sand can do miracles if you know how to do it. I'd drive it like that and get a quote on painting it eventually.

when you wet sand you're inducing a bunch of scratches with very fine sandpaper. it'll look really dull and your scratches should be removed at this point. then you use a microfiber cutting pad with a compound and go over the area plus a bit more to blend it in. once removed use a polishing/finishing pad and a polish to bring it back to new

I would suggest using a soft sanding block on the built-up (and COMPLETELY cured) touched-up parts.

People have fingers, and fingers+sandpaper can cause grooves.

do you guys think i can use Meguair's Ultimate Compound and use it with a machine to buff it out? without sanding?

good advice ^^^^
just be careful, if the scratches are deep enough you will burn through the clear coat trying to remove them. id say, if you can get them barely noticeable, leave it alone unless your 100% you can make it perfect without ruining it.

U can barely see the scratches.

its too late already since you sanded the clearcoat by now

if your feeling adventurous spray the area with clear and wet sand (water + 1500 grit)
