Transmission noise at startup

So for some reason I started my car today and it made this weird noise kind of like the noise you get if you put it into first gear too fast. I didn't realize it was the transmission at first but then when I started backing out of the parking space, it made this weird tapping noise but then went away after about a second. Is it possible that it's the clutch that's making the noise?

I did start the car earlier multiple times and did not have this problem. I'll try to get a video if the noise. I really dint want to bring it to the dealership but if I have to I will.

It could be the clutch or throw out bearing.

However, if it doesn't do it often, I wouldn't worry about it.

Mechanical things sometimes just make strange sounds....http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...mages/wink.gif
