Drivers, start your engines (PIR track days starting March)
Got a couple of e-mails from AROO and CSCC.
The first event is 3/15 with AROO, a classy, well attended event and a hit with quite a few of us here. This will be one of only two AROO events this year. http://www.alfaclub.org/Track_Day_Schedule.html CSCC event follows with classroom 3/28 and track day 3/29, here's a list of all dates: *March 28th (class) / March 29th (track) ** Chicane *April 24th (class) / April 25th ** No Chicane *June 27th (class) / June 28th (track) ** Chicane *August 7th (class) / August 8th (track) ** Chicane *September 26th (class) / September 27th (track) ** Chicane http://cascadesportscarclub.org/inde...169&Itemid=170 My new car won't be in yet so I'll rent a Mustang or something. Watch for my point-by. :happyanim: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...psaa8f431e.jpg |
And don't forget about Oregon Raceway Park either!
Cascade and TC are both member clubs of ICSCC and their price for track time and instruction are unmatched. From the chairman of TC: Quote:

Hell yes, I'll likely wait until the week of to see the weather forecast, but if it looks good I'll definitely be attending the TC day at ORP
probably the AROO day at PIR as well. |

Did you already sell the 10 series?
I really want to hit one of these early days. But 2 things are holding me back. Need oil cooler since I'm boosted and I'm getting more ink on 3/29 and it takes months to reschedule. ORP is at the top of my list for this year. |

http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/cto/4304378710.html My Scion corporate friends think I'm nuts to let it go, believing that 10 Series will become the most desirable future FR-S classic. I'm not so sure what with an even more limited TRD version ($$$) in the pipe and continuous upgrades about every six months it seems. ORP is definitely on my radar, although it would be a very long day since motels are far away and seedy. Alternatively, would anyone like to go in on an RV rental for arrival the night before? |
ORP is only a couple hours from Portland, no need to stay overnight. But if you do stay overnight then just stay at a BnB right near the track in the town of Grass Valley or Moro.
http://oregonraceway.com/our-partners/lodging/ When I go out there to race, we're usually there for 3 days so I stay at the Crews House Crews House Bed & Breakfast 541-333-2244 1006 SW 4th TT: Nancy Nancy is an old lady and really nice, but a bit like staying with your very religious grandmother, but who cares. She nice and next to the track! |
@rice_classic, can I reserve you for instruction?
|
Ill be attending a few events. Not sure which though. Can't wait!
|
Looking forward to this year! Excited to see how the car feels with the cage added to the car.

I currently instruct for IRDC which is an ICSCC club for the Seattle area (Like TC and CSCC are for Oregon) so you would find me at The Ridge in Shelton or Pacific Raceways in Kent. IRDC driver schools are: April 5 @ The Ridge June 13 @ Pacific Raceways Both of which can be found on the IRDC's website and when it gets a bit closer to that date, IRDC will utilize MotorsportReg.com for the purposes of registration (like most clubs do nowadays). http://irdc-racing.com/irdc_activities.htm |
