First I extract all the fluid out of the reservoir. Then I fill it with the new fluid to the full mark. Next I go around to each corner and attach the smaller rubber grommet to the bleeder valve. It's a rubber grommet that is used to connect the larger diameter tube to the smaller diameter tube... it just happens to be the perfect size. Once it's on and I've got suction, I open up the valve and extract until I see the new fluid coming through. After each corner I fill up the reservoir back to full. |
@GTHachiRoku Ugh, of course! I'm really torn between buying the MityVac or taking the car in to have the brakes bled. It would actually probably cost me more to take it in. Everything points to buying the MityVac.

I also used it to drain the 20lbs of washer fluid from my reservoir  |

I've been slowly selling off some stuff, which has given me a little bit to work with.
I've never been a big fan of the stock tail lights. I saw the Original Runduce car a while back in Japan. Then recently I saw it in a magazine and really liked the look of the Valenti tail lights on the white car. I also shaved off the Subaru badge. Maybe I'll shave off the BRZ as well... but still not sure. Either way... I'm stuck doing little mods like this until I can make the jump to FI... |
Some new things in the works!
GTX3076 Turbo Kit Oil Cooler Catless FP OP Who knows what else! Waiting on Radium's fuel solution before going FF. |
So, I ended up going with a custom turbo kit from a local, well known tuner.
It's a GTX3076R based kit with a water to air intercooler. I also scored an oil cooler and a few other bits and pieces. For now, I've removed the small air inlet tube to the turbo and fitted a Turbo Guard. However, I'm working toward a custom made hard pipe to fit a proper air filter onto. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/g4...w1427-h1070-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/31...w1427-h1070-no Dyno graph - I'm still on the stock clutch and stock fueling components. I'll be working toward flex fuel eventually, along with all the supporting mods. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Z6...w1427-h1070-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/e9...w1427-h1070-no |
Sick. How do you like driving it with the turbo compared to stock?

There is the typical turbo lag you'd expect. However, while stock I always found myself revving the hell out of it in order to stay above the torque dip. So staying above 3k rpm isn't bad at all. The sound is really nice too. I've kept the stock catback for now, so it's fairly quiet until the turbo spools/dump tube opens up! I hope to get some videos posted once it stops raining here. |
