Lips vs Spoiler?

I know many people have probably argued about this and i've tried finding a good post to see what looks best on the fr-s or brzs but i really couldnt see what i was looking for.

I love the way the car looks with either, but what do you guys prefer or like more? I'm not talking about greddy spoilers or the huge wings, i'm talking about

S-CRAFT

or Tommy kaira

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...1&d=1352969841

or do you guys like lips like

TRD

or five axis

The main reason why i ask is because i'm debating if i should go for the abnormal look with the fr-s (wing/spoiler) or just kinda make it more clean with a lip.

It really depends on how your car will be. If I have a body kit like the 5axis or the TRD then a spoiler on it wouldn't look too good. But on the other hand if I had like rocket bunny or any kit that looks "over the top" then a spoiler will look okay on them.

Generally, lips.

However, a spoiler looks good if the rest of the car matches it.. I kinda like the first car you posted. But, at the same time.. it just looks really busy. And most of that isn't functional most likely.

I think the lip looks best, at this point. The Tommy Kaira style wing os going in the right direction, but hasn't hit the nail on the head just yet. Looking forward to what will be available in the next couple years.

I have to say i agree with everyone, i love the spoilers but you have to make your car fit for it. I think i'm going with a lip now

Imo im LOVING the s-craft lip and hood.. best ones on the market imo... only gripe is that they dont offer the lip in a more durable polyurethane, and the hood in a cheaper fiberglass (i want to color match paint my afternarket hood... no need for the cf)... but that s-craft lip! Wow clean, complements the oem look and looks like a natural extention of the design...

Why not both? Planning on adding a SARD Style to my Seibon CF trunk that has a little lip.

Love the Tommy Kaira wing, but I also love the Seidoworks whale tail spoiler too.

Depends, love some spoilers and also love some wings

I prefer trunk lips as opposed to spoilers, especially when they extend natural lines of the body.

Wings all day.

I don't care much for the spoilers you posted, I prefer lips to those. But I love wings, tasteful ones though, the car only looks good with those big APR wings if it has a setup to match. But the STI wing looks fantastic, especially the new one that's coming with the Ts.

It really depends on what you want to do style wise. I used to have the TRD lip spoiler on my car. I am now running the S-Craft spoiler you have posted, but with the optional GT wing. I honestly liked the boxy look of the s- craft better then the TRD lip.

Lips are subtle and flow well with the body lines. Wings give off a race car look that screams hey look at me (well those crazy chassis mount wings do). I agree with guy above you have to mod your car to flow with the wing.

TylerLieberman 08-29-2017 07:19 PM

Depends on the car overall, and the specific.

For a subtle looking street car, I say lip.. in which case, I say Leg Sport duckbill is best for sure.

For something a bit more aggressive, GT wings can be cool... if they're the right one. Like the VARIS GT wing.

Chassis mount wings belong in the trash or on shopping carts in my opinion
