Wheels for Rocket Bunny?

Hey guys,

I'm going widebody soon and I have a few questions regarding the wheels I'm gonna go with. I'm running two setups currently:

Volk CE28N's for DD and OZ Ultraleggeras for track.

The volks' specs are:
Fronts 18x8.5
Rears 18x9.5
ET for both is unknown but the rears are around +30 and the fronts are around +40.

The ultraleggeras are out of the question because their width is 8" and that wouldn't work in any way.

My question is, will I be able to use spacers and pull this off with the volks temporarily or am I gonna have to go for something like 10-11" width? I know the tires wouldn't look meaty and wide and would destroy the "widebody" look but this is just temporary till I'm able to get work meisters for my setup that would fit perfectly.

Anyone done this with spacers before? if so I'd like to see pics too!

Thanks.

Your going to need something like 60mm spacers for the rear, id just put it off for a while and save up for the right wheel setup.

I mocked up one with my 18x10 +44 volks and it would have needed like 65mm spacers in the front and 75mm spacers in the back to look right.

Woah, that would be too dangerous to drive on though?

I know offroad truck places out here that can make any size spacer/adapter you want. They jump and offroad trucks with these all the time. However they aren't cheap and by that point you might as well just buy the right wheels.

I heard about custom made spacers for these things but it still sounds risky, you might be more experienced in this, I mean if I make these spacers I'm not gonna be roadkill am I?

And prices, we're talking about how much approx?

Chances are, if you're nickle and diming a wide body kit setup, you can't afford it.

Just save up until you can do it right.

It's not about saving up, we barely have anyone importing any known wheels like work, rays, bbs and so on. I'd have to wait a long time to custom order some wheels and have them shipped to Dubai and I really can't wait for that if I see them fenders in my storage room so yeah.

I dont think many wheels exist that are off the shelf that would be wide enough/low enough offset without going up to the 20inch sizing, 3 piece custom is the only thing that's going to fit.

A three-four month wait to order 3 piece wheels wont kill you, or wait for the speed hunters rocket bunny kit thats not as wide.

I guess you're right I'll have to wait either ways, I guess I'll just order the wheels and wait, when is the speedhunters kit coming out?

I might just wait for updates from them during the next month and if not then I'm gonna order work meisters and just go with RB.

Couldn't find anyone importing rays wheels with the offsets/widths I'm looking for in here.

Id recommend the v1 over both the KM4SH and v2, because the KM4SH doesn't cut the rears which might restrict wheel sizings and the v2 is ugly in addition it requires 19" wheels :barf:.

After im done with my trubo build i plan on doing v1 fenders and a set of bbs rs with a re barrled lip or so, that is if i dont build a stanced ls400

my 2 cent though

Yeah I love the V1 over the V2 but the km4sh rear fenders look a bit more curvy and nicer but still. Lucky you, in the states finding bbs wheels and re barrelling bla bla is easy, I show the guys over here all of this and every one has a question mark over their heads like how is it possible that you can make a 15" wheel go up to 18" -.-
