OFH or Revworks - which will you choose?

I have been picking my brain over both. Obviously both companies put out solid products and here we have the choice of 2 similiar headers with, i think comparable gains?

If you get the OFH you know what your getting in terms of performance. Those guys do an awesome job of posting dynos and such. However, i dont know much about the quality of the product. Revworks, on the other hand, boasts American made and quality parts. Both have a 1 yr warranty. I have no idea which header will last longer

If i look at the OFH dyno on 91 the tq dip is not eliminated but drastically reduced. Does anyone have a 91 revworks dyno that is tuned for viewing? I would be curious to see if the dip is even better than the OFh?

revworks is a hundred and some change more than the ofh. Is this extra money worth it in quality? Maybe performance in the dip? I believe the revworks will sound better based on vids i have heard. Also the revworks appears to have longer tubing from where the exhaust comes out to the collector. I think that will help some with velocity and performance.

Revworks is US made, and has a nice merge collector. Not a JDL unit, but not bad for the price.

JDL

I saw JDL UEL on sale for like $860 before shipping gaskets and other misc. too much! Although lifetime warranty is sweet

Quick dyno synopsis of the OFH/OFT that some may find useful:

Stock
Stage 1 (OFT only)
Stage 2 (OFT + OpenFlash Header)
91oct

Stage 2 (OFT+OpenFlash Header) on 91

rev works because i'm a fanboy.

If you can wait.....see what if any problems pop on the ofh. ..some problems with revworks but i believe were taken care of.

Personally i'm going JDL or NP.

For me, the choice will come down to OFH vs. FT86SF. I'm looking for something quieter, so the cat on the FT86SF header is appealing, but I want to see if it can put down 190 whp with just a tune first.

Really? Issues with revworks?

I hear you about keeping the sound down. Thats part of what attracts my attention to the ofh. Videos of this header are not super loud. Although Shiv has on a stock exhaust. My worry is the exhaust will sound too much like the borla with an after market exhaust. Call me crazy but I think it looks structurally similar. What i like about the ofh is the no nonsense approach. No cat, larger piping, larger collector and low cost. No long tubes or fancy piping detours that net marginal gains for greater expense. i got to hand it to those guys, those are some good numbers for a $600 header w gaskets shipped. Wish the tq dip was not so deep but thats me being picky. For all i know revworks has the same dip on 91. I cant find a dyno of rev works tuned to reach a conclusion.

JDL, don't look back. Top performer in UEL. Proper UEL takes engineering and skill. There's more to it than just bending a bunch of pipes and slapping a collector on it. They had all the charts posted of the exhaust flow through the merge collector and the reasoning why they made the collector the way they did.

Yeah welds/cracking. Issues were resolved promptly by revworks under warranty

If you dig through rev works thread there are several graphs....seems to have less top end than other more expensive headers. Haven't seen a third party dyno of the OFH yet to compare.

Drift office did one on 92oct.

One of the early revworks had an issue with a weld or maybe a crack. Think it was fixed and a small number if not only one person with an issue. You'll have to wait another month for 3rd party info on the OFH.
