Why is the greddy kit so expensive?
It seemed like other kits get better results and cost less. Am I missing something?

Compare quality issues between the kits that cost less and you might have an answer to that. It's also personal preference to a small quick spooling turbo that is daily driveable. Having 400WHP+ is cool and all but it's not everyone cup of tea to buy supporting fuel mods and clutches. Say you buy the greddy kit, you wont need fuel mods and a clutch to use it to it's advertised potential but when you see all the other kits on the dyno most of those people are running extensive supporting mods because their goal is high WHP. I'm not sure which kits you are comparing it to but majority are all around the same cost once you add all the small things to it.

It's in the same range as other kits. They source pretty high quality parts and I'm sure offer a warranty. Not saying there aren't better options but it's not outrageously over priced.

The manifold is very nice. :)

It has the best transient response of the turbo kits I've driven on; the piping is REALLY short.

I just looked up the price on the turbo and its on the high side for a turbo, thats certainly would factor into the kit price.

i don't know why greddy is so expensive. the parts always looks cheap and cheesy to me.. i guess it's just conspicuous consumption.
|
As stated, its because it has "GReddy" stamped on it.
