Is it worth to have limited than premium?

Hi guys, i just ordered a brz premium days ago here in Canada.
The premium is $2000 CAD less than the limited, is it worth to upgrade to limited? I would like to here opinions from you guys, thanks.:w00t:

Your opinion is the only one that matters in this case.

I think that the $2000 more you'll spend will not be a regret when you finish the finance program and fully own the car...

It'll give you:
Automatic dual-zone climate control (looks nice but you don't really need dual climate for such a small car)
Low-profile rear spoiler (YUCK - sorry)
Heated front seats (nice addition when you are DD'ing the car)
Smart key/Push start ignition (I am indifferent about this feature - could care less if it had it or not)
Alcantara/leather seating surfaces (i like alcantara/leather seating surfaces - I normally HATE full leather seats because its slippery during turns, but the alcantara is great for me).

No reason not to, it's great value.

You also get fog lights and the spoiler ($800 value).

I had this same problem, I went limited just because it is a lot added for a good price. And if you had to re sale, it would be worth a good bit being limited car and limited trim ;)

That's an impossible question for any of us to answer. Only you will have the right one.

I personally think the Limited (Sport Tech) is well worth the extra $2000 over the Premium (Premier) but if the extra features don't warrant the extra money in your eyes then you have your answer.

Well you live in Canada, and when and if you wake up during early winter mornings, that hot sensation on your ass feels great! I love driving my dad's limited wrx with heated leather seats, makes getting into your car in winter much more bearable. I think it's well worth it for you imho. Too bad I bought the scion, I'd love to have heated seats <3.

I definitely agree. The dual climate controls also help me keep the girlfriend happy... LOL

I love heated seats during the winter time especially when i am wearing thin scrubs to work at 6am in the morning.

I also use heated seats during early spring so that I can roll down the windows at 12-13 degree weather.

Climate control is must for me. After going from a car with it to one without, I now realize how much I like that feature.

Good enough for me

If you want the extra bells and whistle you gotta pay for it,
but as for me having HID & Nav is good enough.

Gotta have that HID & FOGs since I live in the city and I prefer the AUTO HVAC because it looks more aesthetically pleasing to look at. I'm gonna be spending most of my time inside the car so might as well have all the amenities available.

Phaedrus29 05-03-2012 05:54 AM

Fairly easy decision for me to choose Premium since I feel indifferent about most of the Limited's added features. Don't really care about the seats/mirrors and I'm happy not to have the keyless/push start. The foglights and toggle-switched HVAC are nice, but I'd actually prefer not to have the wing...maybe I'll add an aftermarket lip at some point.

So it all comes down to how you feel about the features. If you do want them, I'd say the $2k is fair.

I dislike auto climate control because the systems always seem to have the A/C running.
I don't care about the push button start.. my wife has it in her car.. doesn't do much for me.
I'm split on the spoiler.. I think it helps the overall lines of the car from the side profile, but I don't know that I really like it.
I'd take leather and heated seats, but wouldn't pay $2k for it since it's the only thing left that I'd really care about. I also won't drive it in the winter, so the heated seats are no big deal.

I can afford the upgrade, but I don't want it.. I'd rather spend the $2k on go-fast mods, wheels, or other things.

I struggled with the same decision but end up ordering the limited. Here is my rational:

1) You are getting a lot for $2000.
2) It further distances the differences between the BRZ and FRS when you decide to sell the car.
3) It doesn't weight that much more (14 lbs)
4) Upgrades like push button start and climate control is no easily upgradeable.

The only con for me is the rear deck spoiler which I don’t like but it’s not terrible. Hopefully the 5 Axis rear wing will cover up the holes from the OEM spoiler.
