MCA Blue coilovers - Now with first impressions and install pics!!!!!!!!

So my shiny new coilovers rocked up yesterday.

They are from a company down here in Australia called MCA, they have an awesome reputation in Australia for great suspension.

I contacted them for something that would be good for a Daily driven car but would also give me good handling on the track, the entry level blue series at 6/6kg was the answer.

I bought them that day totaling $1600, they were then tested at MCA in QLD and shipped to me.

I'll be installing these with help from a couple of friends on Saturday.

After that's done ill post some pictures of the install along with a street review of them. For now enjoy some pictures of them.

http://mcasuspension.com/ - I don't have affiliation with these guys, just think they make some awesome stuff.

First Impressions;

From end to end these coilovers were great. Install was relatively easy and the quality of the coilovers is top notch.

After my first shakedown session with them i took them to a road with a few chicane styles corners to have some fun.

At speed these corners are great fun, with the MCA's they were amazing, car felt flat and very controlled as i went through these at a very illegal speed.
Just cruising on the road they feel stiffer than stock and bumps are more noticable but in a way they are more comfortable than stock which i was very very surprised with. No noises or anything to report as well quiet as OEM.

I'm not too good at writing reviews but feel free to ask questions if you want anything specific and ill answer best i can.
Overall a brilliant set of coils.

Nice piece of kit, glad to hear you like them.

I'm more interested in the Reds but it's good to hear that the Blues work well.

Let us know how they work for you when you push the car really hard.

Good to see. Lookin forward to a long term review. I have heard from a few people that they are on the stiff side of things.

i hear good things about that company but the $1600 (aus?) price tag and looking like a bunch of the other taiwan built stuff makes me wonder. also, why do they recommend the front ride height to be taller than the rears?

It's what is inside that counts.

im aware of that. i just wonder how much you can get inside for $1600. they are definitely a company i know nothing about. just voicing some thoughts is all.

i wonder how accurate the review is if no alignment had been done?
Pretty sure the camber and especially toe would be out of whack after lowering.

After an alignment done this morning nothing was too far out of whack so pretty accurate, the car felt the same driving as it did last night :)

A lot actually, the valving and damping is very very good. MCA's recommended setup was based on what i said i wanted out of the coilover. Obviously i've gone with further drop that originally intended but they still feel much much better than OEM in comfort and performance.

Called in a favor from a good friend who has a little workshop/tyre shop. It's not 100% perfect, did it quick because i plan to fine tune the ride height. Thinking about it i should really change my statements to first impressions, in fact i will do that. Ill write my review after a few weeks haha.
