FT-86 as a Scion?

So there is a large talk going on now about the FT-86. It is coming its just a matter of time. The big questions no one is asking, will it be under Toyota or Scion? Who would handle having this car better? As we all know Toyota and Scion are one, but they do have different buying programs and process. So who should get the FT-86?

I like it to be in Toyota better. Even though Scion is sub brand of Toyota, I still don't see why it should get the car. Scion don't really need another coupe, they need truck or sedan to expand the lineup. Why not keep the car in the legend brand like Toyota? because of recent recalls? No one is going to car about that if they are a true FT-86 fan.

why are people still on this? RRonld, like that post :P

They already released the "new" tC which was apparently what the FT was "supposed" to be. Now that its been busted, STFU with this Scion or Toyota crap. It WILL be a Toyota (because I said so.)

As long as it looks as good as the concept with 200hp NA on the wheels, I dun care what they call it.

"A report from Autocar indicates the price of the FT-86 is going to rise in Japan from the intended $20,000 entry price to around $23,000 to a fully-loaded $26,000. Even worse, the team is focusing on reducing fuel consumption from the car's Subaru-sourced boxer powerplant instead of increasing power."

^this....do you still care?

but on d otherhand, this...

Maybe they made it to 200 hp NA already, but they want to improve fuel consumption. However, I will believe it when I see and hear the official spec.

That article wasn't talking about branding the FT as a Solara. It was talking about turning it into what a Solara is, iinm.
Anyway, I'm calling bullshit once more, and instead of arguing, I'll just wait to be proven right like what happened when people were talking about the "refined look" the FT was rumored to sport at production.
